Beith Community Food Garden

Our mission is to work in conjunction with the Community Shop and Free Food Friday to alleviate local food poverty and enable folk to gain practical skills in self sufficiency.

The focus of the Food Garden is to show people some easy methods to grow vegetables, herbs and fruit; harvest them and prepare the ingredients into tasty, easy to make food for all the family. We are funded by Ayrshire & Arran CVS whose ethos is all about working together and promoting good health and mental wellbeing through nature.

In addition to the gardening wisdom, we also run creative craft workshops and cookery classes. All these activities are great for health and wellbeing and creating new friendships as well.

The Food Garden is located on the southern side of the Community Centre and is free to visit at any time.

We have workdays most Monday afternoons and you'd be very welcome to join us or simply stop by for a chat.
